STOCKTON — While repossessing a car Monday afternoon in northeast Stockton, a tow truck driver was pushed away by one man as another got into his truck and drove away, car in tow, police reported.
The driver was not reported injured, and his tow truck was located less than a half-mile away to the west.
The carjacking occurred just before 4 p.m. in the 8200 block of Shay Circle, in a residential neighborhood northeast of Holman Road and East Hammer Lane. The tow truck was found nearby in the 3600 block of Griffith Drive, according to a report.
One of the carjackers was last seen driving away in the repossessed car, a black Chevrolet Impala. He was described by police as a black man in his 20s, 5 feet 10 with a thin build, last seen wearing all black clothing. His accomplice was described as a black man in his 20s, 6 feet tall and 280 pounds, also wearing all black clothing.
