IRVING, Texas – May 17, 2017 The North American Repossessors Summit (NARS), an industry event hosted by the American Recovery Association, Inc. (ARA) and Harding Brooks Insurance Agency, is announcing they will be donating all profits from the NARS Golf Tournament and live auction to the Recovery Agents Benefit Fund (RABF).
RABF was established in 2002 to benefit recovery industry families affected by death or serious injury. To date, RABF has made distributions to over 50 families who have suffered adversity due to serious injury, illness or death in the line of work. RABF is the first organization of its kind within the recovery industry, and received approval for its 501c3 non-profit status in 2010.
The NARS live auction will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 6:30 p.m. Last year, RABF was the recipient of more than $9,000 from the NARS 2016 auction.
“The funds raised from last year’s auction have been a tremendous help,” said Jim Hall, RABF committee member. “This is set to be the biggest NARS yet, and it’s important that we unite to support the industry.”
The golf tournament, sponsored by MVTRAC, will take place on Wednesday, July 26 at 8 a.m. For $200, NARS attendees will have the opportunity to play at the Cowboys Golf Club. The entry fee includes: golf balls, a GPS, a golf cart, buffet style breakfast and lunch, plus any non-alcoholic beverages.
“We are excited to host the 2017 tournament at the beautiful Cowboys Golf Club for the second year,” said Jerry Wilson, president of ARA. “It’s a way for repossession professionals to have fun and network while also supporting RABF in helping injured or fallen agents.”
