Woman accused of hitting repo man with car
A Wichita Falls woman is accused of running over a man trying to repossess her vehicle.
Malana Nicole Foster, 32, was arrested on July 8 and charged with aggravated assault. She was out of Wichita County Jail Friday morning on $10,000 bail.
According to the probable cause affidavit:
Around 9:28 a.m. on July 8, officers were called to the area of Reilly Avenue and Offutt Street for a woman causing a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim, who said he was trying to repossess a vehicle in the 1300 block of Reilly Avenue. He said he had a video of the incident.
In the video, the officer noted a black woman wearing an orange spaghetti-strap tank top got into the driver seat of a red Chevrolet Cobalt and started the vehicle. The video then panned over to show the victim standing in front of the vehicle and nothing behind it.
The woman put the vehicle into drive, hit the victim with the front bumper and then drove in reverse at a high rate of speed with the victim hanging onto the hood.
The woman struck a parked vehicle in the area of Reilly Avenue and Elwood Street, causing the victim to jump off the vehicle. She fled the scene eastbound on Elwood Street.
The victim said he had a GPS tracker on the vehicle that showed it was in the area of Front and Farris streets.
The officer located a woman matching the description in the video sitting on a porch in the 200 block of Front Street. The red Cobalt was also found behind the residence in some thick brush.
The woman identified herself as Foster and told the officer she struck the man because he took $400 from her a week ago and didn’t give it back to her.
